Position Description:
The University of Northern Iowa’s Department of Philosophy and World Religions seeks applicants for a renewable term appointment as an Instructor of Applied Ethics beginning in August 2024. This position is endowed through the David W. Wilson Endowment for Integrity and Excellence in the Wilson College of Business, with the specific purpose to expand ethics education across the campus, and the successful candidate will be a Wilson Ethics Fellow. The position has a 4/4 teaching load. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Business Ethics and Professional Ethics and work collaboratively with UNI’s Wilson College of Business within the context of its new ethics education initiatives. The position will also offer the possibility of teaching other courses in Religious Studies, in a variety of religious traditions, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and interests and departmental needs. The Department is interested in candidates that will share the Department’s commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, and to engaged service (mentoring students, serving on committees, and offering programming on campus and in the wider community).
