Dear all,
We would like to warmly invite you to join us for the fourth time in Wittenberg, Germany, and apply to the next iteration of our conference The Is & Ought of Business Ethics. The conference will take place on October 8th until October 10th, and will offer a great opportunity to connect and receive feedback on your current work across disciplines. We are happy to announce that we will have Professor Dorothea Kübler (Technische Universität Berlin), Professor Bart Wilson (Smith Institute, Chapman University) and Professor Nien-he Hsieh (Harvard Business School) join us to deliver two keynotes speeches.
The Is & Ought aims to create a space in which both empirical and normative work can come into dialogue with another. Even if you haven’t published in Business Ethics journals – as long as you are working on ethically relevant questions broadly related to the business sphere, you are warmly welcome. We have hosted researchers from a variety of backgrounds, such as economics, philosophy, law, psychology, and using a variety of methods, such as normative work, experiments, interviews and case studies before.
If you are interested in participating, please send your (~600 word) abstract before the 15th of April 2025 by filling out this survey.
We are also offering some limited spots for Early Career Researchers, who will not only have the chance to present their work, but may also elect to receive additional feedback on their written manuscripts if desired.
You can also find more information about the conference here.
All submissions will be considered for an oral presentation at the conference by the scientific committee below. We aim to communicate acceptances by May 1st.
